BIO
Cassandra Schaeg is an East Coast-born, West Coast-raised entrepreneur. After a career spanning the nonprofit and private sectors, she decided to venture into entrepreneurship, specifically in the wine industry. She fell in love with wine through her travels, experiences, and connections. In 2016, she opened SIP Wine & Beer in Escondido, California, a tasting room designed to showcase brands created by women and people of color. That venture was the inspiration for the Emmy Award-winning production company Fresh Glass Productions.
Featuring BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs in food, beverage, and entrepreneurship, the docuseries Fresh Glass, which she co-created, produced, and hosts, received two Emmy nominations and a win for magazine program.
Cassandra holds a bachelor's degree in social science from California State University, Chico, and a master's degree in public administration and finance from National University. She divides her time between entrepreneurship, storytelling, and teaching.
